Weekend

Well, I certainly am thankful for God's protective hand on everyone at the WHCA dinner! The left, the 'woke' right and the media have stirred up so many lies over the years that now you have people who think they are saving our country by trying to kill DJT! Pray!

On Saturday, Tim planted two more of the Sarah Bernhardt peonies, though I don't think that they will flower for a year or so. I planted B
egonia in my deck railing planters, we put our Costco hydrangea in a big deck pot. Tim also got some blue and white stock planted in the front Cottage Garden. My roses are looking good, and the Annabel hydrangea is leafed out. Peonies and other hydrangea coming up. My bleeding hearts look beautiful!

We had some rain Saturday evening and that was great!

Sunday, after church, we took a young family out to lunch to the local Mickey D's that has a huge play place! Their kids are in the same SS classes as two of our grands and they all had so much fun playing together!

Tim and I watched an episode of Lewis (Britbox). This is a series I really enjoy and usually watch by myself. Tim made popcorn and we enjoyed ourselves.

Our spring weather is coolish still, but as we head to May this week, it should start being more consistently warm!

I hope you are all well.

Information Friday

I took this photo last evening from the kitchen. You can see the red gingham curtains from the kitchen in the photo! It's funny how the outside looks brighter than it was in person.

Today most of my Information comes from Pepe Deluxe on Telegram. He is a believer, and has been sharing truth for many years. I started following him on other social media platforms in 2020, but he lost many of those accounts. Telegram is where he posts most regularly.

I am starting with this compelling video from the Governor of Louisiana after the shooting in the mall there.

Did you know we pay this many taxes? In Pennsylvania there is a gas tax (in addition to the price per gallon) of 55 cents per gallon! And county income tax, township taxes, etc, etc...

The 14th amendment was a way to make sure that the children of slaves were made citizens. It was not about anyone who comes on vacation and has their baby here that the baby is an automatic citizen. We have over a million chinese who will be able to vote soon because of being born here, then raised in China but with American citizenship. Also, not only is the child a citizen, the parents get the right to live here, and they can bring in the whole extended family!

The head of ICE, Mr. Bovino, estimates that their are 100 million illegals in our country! That's 1/3 of our population! Incredible! Just think of what our taxes could be used for if we weren't funding illegals.

So many in Hollywood have TDS. This is so cringe!

Have a lovely weekend friends. It's chilly and rainy here, and my back is feeling it! Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Weekend

I took a quick photo Friday evening just as the girls and their moms were gathering. I'm mindful to know show faces online. But I'd taken this photo of my tea pots as I was waiting for the water to be ready to fill them. The old glass coffee carafe was used for Harney and Sons Indigo Punch tea, which has the Blue Pea Flower in it and makes the tea a dark blue/purple color! The girls loved seeing the beautiful color!

I picked it knowing the girls would love the color! Many of the moms loved it too, because it is a delicious flavored tea!

This now bi-annual tea event is growing more popular and this year we had 49 moms and daughters in attendance. This is also only for 5th grade and under girls and moms!

The girls had fun stations where they could get their hair braided or made fancy with sparkle spray, pot an flower, paint their nails, and make a bracelet!

So, so fun!

I brought my tea cups, plus the Kids Ministry leader brought paper cup tea cups for the littles.

This was the set we used.

Saturday, I chauffered my grand to a few events she was wanting to be at, and then came home to put my tea things away. I reorganized how I had them displayed.

My oldest daughter dropped by after work, to do some stuff with her chickens and ducks, and stayed for dinner. I made taco salad which we all love.

Yesterday, was rainy in the morning but cleared up by lunchtime and so we took my parents to Havre de Grace to have lunch. We like The Promenade Grille. There is only outdoor seating so we had to bundle up against the chilly wind blowing on the bay but it was lovely.

Here is a photo from their FB page.

This is what it was like yesterday - windy but sunny! Then we took the long way home. It was fun, and my parents love a good road trip, too!

I hope your weekend was lovely, friends.

Information Friday

Went to tea this morning with two friends, Jen and Ruth, and my mama. It was lovely. This is our favorite place, but it has new owners. Not everyone in our group enjoyed the food, but everything I had was delicious.

Today I am sharing information from Pepe Deluxe on Telegram. I have followed him for years on his various accounts. He was one who kept losing his IG and X accounts in 2020-2021 for sharing truth! And yes, it did end up not being disinformation or a conspiracy, as it has all been shown to be true!

Now I must dash! I am helping host a tea at our church for Sunday School girls and their mothers! We have 49 coming! Wow!

I've made scones and cream, I have lemon curd and jam, 44 tea cups, (5 attendees are babies!) creamer, sugar bowl, milk, sugar, stevia, and more to get to church!

Have an awesome weekend!

Weekend

It was a beautiful weekend. The weather was fine, and Saturday was a day to celebrate a baby on it's way!

My dear friend Jen, who so many of you prayed for last fall, is going to be a grandma again! One of her daughters, whom I've known since her girlhood is due in late spring. Her family and church friends gave her an amazing shower!

I was honored to be invited and brought my gift of a homemade quilt.

Sunday we went to lunch with two grands, Kyle, and some friends who had one of their grands with them. It was fun.

This week has been busy. I finished knitting a baby blanket, and I have been working to finish up our school year.

My five year old local grand told me yesterday, "I'm the only one who can't read." I told her, "I can teach you!" and we started with short a and put a few sounds together.

I never rush to teach a child to read. I want them to be ready, physiologically as well as desire. One of my own girls had the desire but just needed more time. We waited about six months and started again and she took right off! Rather than discourage her, we gave her mind and body time to be ready and when we did she had success!

But it always thrills my heart to hear a young one wanting to learn to read. It is my opinion that if a child can learn to read well, they can learn anything!

I hope you had a great weekend. I'd love to hear what you did! We are having a mini heat wave here in Mid April, but we know we can also still have a late freeze! Such is spring!
