This now bi-annual tea event is growing more popular and this year we had 49 moms and daughters in attendance. This is also only for 5th grade and under girls and moms!
The girls had fun stations where they could get their hair braided or made fancy with sparkle spray, pot an flower, paint their nails, and make a bracelet!
So, so fun!
I brought my tea cups, plus the Kids Ministry leader brought paper cup tea cups for the littles.
This was the set we used.
Saturday, I chauffered my grand to a few events she was wanting to be at, and then came home to put my tea things away. I reorganized how I had them displayed.
My oldest daughter dropped by after work, to do some stuff with her chickens and ducks, and stayed for dinner. I made taco salad which we all love.
Yesterday, was rainy in the morning but cleared up by lunchtime and so we took my parents to Havre de Grace to have lunch. We like The Promenade Grille. There is only outdoor seating so we had to bundle up against the chilly wind blowing on the bay but it was lovely.
Here is a photo from their FB page.
This is what it was like yesterday - windy but sunny! Then we took the long way home. It was fun, and my parents love a good road trip, too!
I hope your weekend was lovely, friends.

What a nice weekend! I love the idea of your moms-and-littles tea party! Those teacups are adorable! I am certain that everyone had a lovely time.
That looks like a pretty place to have lunch, and a little road trip is great for refreshing the mind and spirit. Our weather, too, was sunny, breezy, and cool on Sunday and today. I don't mind the cool because I know that the heat and humidity will be here soon enough.
Those paper tea cups are adorable. I've never seen anything like them before. I loved reading your post, it warmed my heart reading of a weekend spent showing love and kindness to every generation in your family. My family is so scattered that I rarely see any of them, but my sister-in-law shares her family with me and I love being included in all of their events. I am also blessed with many wonderful Christian lady friends from church and they have become family. Love is a wonderful thing, after all that is the commandment from Christ Himself, Love God and Love one another :)
Beautiful post, have a sweet weekend :)
I love a good road trip! It was needed, and as my parents don't get out much, they really enjoy when we take a trip even if its just for a lunch date!
Connie, thank you for your comment. It was so encouraging to me. It is hard to be away from family, in our early married life we didn't live near any family. I am so happy to hear that your sister in law shares her family! We have many dear friends who are like family to all of us because we have included them. My adult kids still call them all aunt and uncle!
You are right about Love being the greatest commandment!
