I don't know about you, but September flew by. It is now my favorite month of autumn, my birth month, and I am planning to enjoy every bit of it.
This photo is now so old, that I don't remember if I took it or my oldest daughter took it! I do know it's from one of our maple trees along our creek.
This is a very common site here in Pennsylvania. For many years we went here to get $1 pumpkins. Now we frequent a place close by, and support our neighbors and their produce stand. They also make the best apple cider!

1. The changing leaves!
2. The chance to wear cozy sweaters.
3. Wearing boots.
4. Watching leaves fall from the maple trees in the front yard.
5. Hosting our annual Fall Fest.
6. Drinking hot chocolate.
7. Drinking apple cider.
8. Quieting the house down after a busy and full summer.
9. Eating comfort foods.
10. Fall Foliage trips.
11. Sitting in the sunshine, with cool temperatures and reading.
12. Knitting.
13. Pumpkins.
14. Campfires.
15. Celebrating the many October family birthdays including mine!
Oh there's more, but I'll stop there for now.

Autumn is the time of year when God gets out His brightest paint colors and paints our world in glorious splendor. I don't think I have a favorite season I love them all. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is go to the orchards and buy apples. They just taste their very best when they're freshy picked from the trees. And don't forget apple pie, the only thing better than the smell of apple pie baking in the oven is a warm dish of it with a scoop of cold ice cream on top. 😋 Yum!
October is my favorite fall month for sure. I hope you enjoy every minute of your birthday month!
