These are photos of Nate, at various ages.
This is a photo of three of his girls, who look like him in these photos. Klaire in the back makes the face he's making in the photo on the left. Kaidence looks like him in the middle photo (she's in the red shirt), and Kennedy looks like him in the photo on the right. She is now the age he was in that photo, though she was only about 8 months old in this photo. The genes are strong in his girls!
We've had rain, and more rain. Which is great for the farms, and the gardens, but it's hard to mow when the ground is pretty soft. However, our yard is beginning to look shaggy.
My tulips are coming up in the pots, and one plant already has it's flower bud! I did three big flower containers with tulips last fall after learning from Monty Don, British Gardener Extraordinaire, that he treats tulips as annuals, and places them in pots in the garden!
Speaking of gardens, my guys got the garden beds around the back of the house weeded and mulched! It looks great.
Looking at the back of the house you can see how the property slopes down. Here in the back, and lot of the basement shows compared to the front of the house, and compared to the end where the deck stairs are. When we re-side the house, we're talking about doing some kind of stone on the parts where you can see the basement. We are planning white siding, and so would go with stones in grey/white tones.
The pool is just to the left and behind from where this photo was taken. Tim has put in for a permit from our township to build a small (8x10) deck for the pool. This will make pool access much easier, than the ladder we used last year.
The deck will be at this end and not be very high off the ground due to the slope. We are looking forward to hot summer days!
I am working on my floral order for the May 14th wedding I am doing. It's going to be beautiful. Lots of greens with white flowers. The bride wants the look of flowers picked out of a meadow. I can't wait to show you!
Sarah's Easter break starts this next week, and she'll be arriving on Tuesday! We are all looking forward to seeing her, and her friend Ellie.
I hope you're all well. We are doing well here. It hasn't felt like thriving this past week, but personal growth is happening in our lives, and that is a very good thing. Relationships of all kinds take sacrifice, an a willingness to apologize, and a willingness to forgive.
Tomorrow night is our co-op's Spring Concert. It will be a great beginning to Easter week!

Such pretty photos...we made the move to FL and I have to say, our hometown sure isn't slow anymore...anyways, Have a beautiful Easter if I don't "see" you before that. smiles
Oh, I love that stone path, so charming!! Love the pool, too. It's a great place for everyone to gather in the summer. Enjoy the concert!!
Love catching up with you! I planted lots of bulbs this year - after Louis Dean dumped all mine out thinking it was just pots of dirt. They all started coming up in a huge mass in a bucket. I dumped that out and carefully tried to separate them. They are green and growing but they may be a bit traumatized!
Remarkable resemblances. Fun to see it in photos like that.
Cute little Nate! Yes, his girls look a lot like him.
Oh a deck for the pool will make access much easier.
Wonderful that Sarah and a friend will be home for Easter.
Lots of things to look forward to at your house! Tulips blooming . . . pool deck in the plans . . . Sarah's visit . . . summer pool days! I love the idea of stones on your basement section. That would look great!
Yes, relationships do take sacrifice. And yes, personal growth is a very good thing. Painful sometimes (always?), but good.
