Roses From The Garden

We had so much rain in May! According to Rain Drop App we had 9.69 inches of rain in May! So besides being very wet, it's been very grey sky as well! Makes it hard to get good photos in the house.

I had to edit these just a tad for light, and I cropped them. They are just lovely garden roses.

“What a lovely thing a rose is!"
Arthur Conan Doyle - The Naval Treaty

“I feel as if I had opened a book and found roses of yesterday sweet and fragrant, between its leaves.”
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of the Island

“There was something rather blousy about roses in full bloom, something shallow and raucous, like women with untidy hair”
 Daphne du Maurier, Rebecca

“Where you tend a rose, my lad, a thistle cannot grow."
Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

I hope you have roses in bloom, wherever you are.

Gorgeous roses, Deanna. Lovely colours. We haven't had much rain and we're hoping for more (as we've got wildfires in our province in the northerly regions). Happy June!
