This room has mostly sat empty for months, with the occasional granddaughter sleeping over. A few weeks ago, I bought a little bit of art for the room.
I love navy blue, but I don't use it a lot in my house. Sarah had these navy blue blackout curtains that she left in this room, so I decided to use them as a jumping off point. We had queen sized navy sheets, too, which is great.
I found this Van Gogh Giclee canvas on Amazon and purchased it for this room. I love the colors in it and new it would be perfect over the bed.
We put a small desk in here and a chair by the window. I am going to put a plant or two in this room as well. It's a bit motel like at the moment.
There is a wooden cabinet in this room too, and that holds homeschool materials.
I want to put a rug in this room as well, though that may not happen before this weekend! We'll see.
One of Tim's sisters will be staying this weekend, then our friends will move over from the Inn they are staying at for a few days.
It's going to be so fun!

Ohh, they'll have a room with a view! You'll make them feel welcome to visit with you.
Sounds like such an exciting weekend for you!! The room looks lovely, the painting it such a pretty focal point in your sunny guest suite.
It's so exciting to put a room together! I am sure your guests will feel welcomed and loved!
What a sweet room! Love the view!

How exciting to prepare for guests. And I absolutely LOVE that painting over the bed. It feels so fresh and summery.
Happy August, Deanna.
I'm enjoying catching up on the posts I've missed lately!
