We took Christmas Decor Down This Weekend

It's sad to take it down, but it was time. We put the living room back to pre Thanksgiving arrangement, too. It feels fresh, though I have some clutter I need to sort and put away, and I am going to continue this week to work on the hutch decor. I'm not ready for spring yet, I'm happy to enjoy the slower pace of winter. For now anyway!

The only issue now is how dark the dining side of the room is in the evening. I need to think about another lamp or two.

While Tim and I were away for our anniversary, we shopped at a Home Sense. I thought Home Sense is what Home Goods was called in the UK, but this was an actual Home Sense store. I had a small gift card that I could use there so we decided to check it out.

They were definitely trying to move Christmas stuff out of the store, but I found some nice taper candles, and this lovely 9x13 baking pan.

I've been replacing some kitchen items that have finally given up after 38 years of hard use, or just never had them before like my Dutch Oven, my son in law bought me for Christmas.

This green color is beautiful, and I love beautiful items that are useful, too!

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

HomeSense is awesome! Ours is right next door to HomeGoods, some of the merchandise is a repeat, but some is not. i just bought a few lampshades there this week...patterned and cheap! My favorite. Haha!

I'm slowly taking Christmas down a little at a time. I feel no hurry to do it so I'm taking my time and packing things away more orderly than I've ever done before.

I felt like we hardly had any time between Thanksgiving and Christmas! But it was time for it to come down.

I'm getting interested in patterned lampshades! It would add a nice vibe to my cottage decor!
