Packing Boxes For Our Service Members

Today, ladies and kids packed boxes for members of the military that are a part of our church. The Women's Ministries Team sponsored this event. Many people donated snack foods, devotionals, batteries, etc...We also were able to send cards, letters, and boxes to one of our guys serving in Iraq and to his whole platoon! We were excited to hear his mom talk about the soccer team that he has started and how alot of the gum and candy will likely go along with the soldiers on patrol to share with the Iraqi children.

The above picture is of Lt. Neal Rice and members of his platoon. They have been instrumental in getting the marketplace in their area back up and running. They have helped take this area where locals were afraid, to a place where people are out and shopping and going to school and playing soccer.

We were so pleased to be able to encourage them and let them know that we are praying for them!
