Friends, may I ask prayer for a family we know?
Yesterday morning the dad in one of our co-op families, had a massive heart attack at age 49. He is on a ventilator and a heart pump to let his heart rest, but they are trying to wean him off the heart pump.
During his heart attack his heart completely stopped for quite a while and they had difficulty getting his heart started again. There is a danger that his brain has suffered damage, but when he woke yesterday after surgery he was able to squeeze the nurse's hand in answer to some questions. So they are hopeful.
They are concerned that if they are able to get him off the pump, that his heart could stop again. Don't know any more right now, but am asking you to please keep this family in prayer. Rich, Colleen and Peter.
I spent a good part of the day with them yesterday at the hospital along with another sweet couple from our co-op, as they don't have family in this area. I am hoping to get in tomorrow as well.
Thanks for letting me share and for lifting up this dear family in prayer! God is able!

So sorry to hear this! Thanks for sharing so we can be praying for them and you as you help and encourage.
Praying right now for this precious family...for complete healing for the dad, that the rest of the family would be able to feel God's peace surrounding them and that it would overcome any fears they are feeling.
I'm asking that the Lord would supply each of their needs as they arise, that they would all be able to get adequate rest, that finances wouldn't be a worry, and that they would draw ever closer to God and each other as a result of this trial.
Bless you for being a blessing to them during this difficult time.
I'll be praying for this family. Let us know how he's doing when you know more.
Blessings,
Marcia
