Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just two days away! Here at the end of November our trees are barren and the weather is cold. We've been blessed with a long autumn season and it was a joy!

Our menu for Thanksgiving is very traditional. Turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, corn, cranberry salad and cranberry relish, rolls. I'm hungry just thinking about it!

Psalm 136:1-9

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
    for his steadfast love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods,
    for his steadfast love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords,
    for his steadfast love endures forever;

to him who alone does great wonders,
    for his steadfast love endures forever;
to him who by understanding made the heavens,
    for his steadfast love endures forever;
to him who spread out the earth above the waters,
    for his steadfast love endures forever;
to him who made the great lights,
    for his steadfast love endures forever;
the sun to rule over the day,
    for his steadfast love endures forever;
the moon and stars to rule over the night,
    for his steadfast love endures forever;

The older I grow, the more thankful I am. I see the Lord's goodness to me and my people.

I have been busy preparing for Thanksgiving and for our trip the next day. We are headed to visit our daughter and family in Tennessee. We have plans to have some fun!

I confess that I have been listening to both of my Creekside Cottage Christmas Spotify playlists. You can find them {here} and {here}.

What a special time of year. A focus on Thankfulness and we head into Christmas! I am Thankful for Jesus. For his gift of salvation freely given for all.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Remember if your plans don't turn out like you expect, find things to be thankful for.

Much Love, Friends.
