Rachel Sews A Skirt


Today, when I got ready to make Rachel a skirt, she asked if she could do some of the sewing.  I knew she was ready for the basics, and this is a basic skirt!

Here Rachel is sewing the side seams.

Here she is feeding the elastic through the waist casing.

Here she shows off the finished project.

The fabric is so pretty - I like that she can wear it with a blouse for church or a t-shirt for everyday.

She really did most of the sewing, including the zig-zagging of the seams to finish them off....I only did the hem and the casing.  I am a proud Momma!
