Fun Times

Last night, after dinner and family worship, we headed out to do one of the great free things that has become a family tradition for us at Christmastime.

We went to view the lights at the Herr's Potato Chip Factory. Every year they do fantastic displays of lights - you can check out these amazing photos of their display here.

My camera doesn't take such great photos as these! Lindsay got some neat shots last night but I don't know when she will post them as she hasn't been doing much with her blog lately.

We called our friends over at Hospitality Lane, invited them to come along, which they did! It was fun and it was cold! Becky and I stayed in the car while everyone else got out to walk among the trees covered in lights! Afterwards we decided to try to find a diner or something to get some coffee and maybe a donut - our normal tradition is to hit the WaWa across the road from Herr's and get donuts. We drove all over the area and found many pizza and wings places but no diner's that looked family friendly, if you know what I mean!

We had broken up into parent vehicle and kid vehicle so we adults were having quite the time chatting and commenting about the lack of places to go! The kids were loud in their van - they wanted the tradition, so we just headed back to the WaWa! Silliness and fun!

I love when you don't have to do anything "big" to have a really enjoyable time!

Thanks friends - for the fun times!

It WAS fun!

By the way...the piano practice...all part of the learning process. I wasn't being critical of anyone....truly.

It is part of my responsibility to get her inspired to want to learn.

Anyhoo...thanks for last night! It was so nice to get out of the kitchen and enjoy the fellowship.

Maybe Oxford in the daytime looks different and has more to offer...foodwise. You drew us in with the donuts anyway.
