Our Trip To California, Part Three

The last two days involved driving.  On Sunday we drove to Lake Tahoe!  What an amazingly beautiful place.

The kids all went into the lake and I enjoyed sitting and taking in the beautiful view.

On Monday, our last day in California, Sherry drove us to Wright's Beach.  It was cool, foggy, and had a water temperature of 52 degrees!

These crazies, went into the water and Sherry and I played with Isla.  They also explored around a cave.

Sarah got tumbled in a wave and was full of sand!

I should have kept my hat on so I'd look as cute as Sherry does in this photo!  We had such a good time together.

The next morning we flew home on a very early flight.  I'm thankful for this time with my girls. We had a great week together.

I wish that I could live near all my blog friends!  What a blessing it would be to be able to visit and share our lives in person!

Until then, this blog will have to do!  Have a great weekend everyone!

So Much To Do

Last night I did not feel too well....I had some indigestion and it hung around 'til the wee hours of the morning.

I also have been having a lot of sinus issues lately. I use a neti pot every day with salt water and it really does help. I bought one for Tim several years ago, because he was suffering from sinus infections several times a year and now never gets one. He finds he only needs to use it once a week, unless he feels like he is getting a cold, then he uses it everyday.

So today I feel better but tired and I have headache. I am leaving on Wednesday for California and I need to pick up some items for my trip and teach school and take Sarah to piano today...

I don't have time to not feel well. There - I will just refuse to be unwell. Think it will work?

Seriously, I am praying, and I am asking you to pray for me as well.....

Road Trip 2

This was the destination of our road trip yesterday. About 3 hours drive from our home.

This was the kids favorite thing to do. We were on the top of the 6 story parking structure at the airport, watching helicopters land, airplanes take off and the fun airtrain come into the station and leave!

Here Elijah and Kyle are waiting for the airtrain. This cool thing takes you all around the airport complex.
We used Geoff's gps system on his phone "Lola", to find a restuarant away from the airport.

They had a wonderful booth that fit all 10 of us, but the food took awhile to arrive.

The natives were getting restless, so we took drastic measures....
and brought the silly faces out!!!! Kyle can curl his tongue!

Rachel can stick sugar packets to her face.

Elijah can make silly faces while wielding a pink plastic sword!

"Hey boys, sit down here so we can take your picture."

"No, don't lay down, sit up."

"Quick they are both sitting up."

Success!

And a picture with Cousin Sarah on her last day as a Five year old!

Geoff, Melissa and Elijah. Off to follow the Lord's leading for their lives.

We loved spending time with you yesterday!

Road Trip

Not a long one today, but a fun one to spend sometime with our niece Melissa from Elijah's Adventures, and her family as they have a long layover on their way to Ireland.

Pray for a sweet time of fellowship and fun, and that the kids will not get crazy bored in the airport!

I will share pictures tomorrow!

Off to Longwood Gardens

The weather being so lovely today, we are headed to Longwood Gardens. It is an estate that belonged to Pierre duPont. We always love to walk around and see the "eye of water", the beautiful fountains, the flowers in bloom (of course), the conservatories with orchids, roses etc...the have a wonderful children's garden there, as well as an idea garden. Well, it is just heavenly. They also have a century plant that is ready to bloom! We just have to go see it!

Here is a link to their website: www.longwoodgardens.org

I will post pictures of our time there.
