Emma and Vinnie surprised us Friday morning!
They drove into the wee morning hours in order to be here on Tim's day off and go with us to Lake Tobias. What a precious gift that was to us. And yes, we were surprised!
They had a 10 hour drive from Greenville, and Vinnie had driven from Nashville before that. It is a huge commitment to drive here and to do it for two days? Amazing!
Saturday morning Tim and I took them to breakfast and were there for hours talking. It was a good time to get to know him better and to hear what they are thinking, and what is happening in their lives.
They left this morning, as we were headed for church. They ran into a lot of traffic on the way back - holiday weekend and all. While they were stopped in traffic they took these photos for me.
They're cute, aren't they?
It is a wonderful thing to see your children growing up and being wise, and walking in the truth.
Emma and Vinnie, thank you for your gift of yourselves this weekend. Thank you for sharing your time with all of us.
Love you.
