Autumn In My Cottage

This year I determined that I wouldn't put my fall stuff up at the beginning of September. I usually keep these types of things up until about Thanksgiving and get tired of them if I put them up too soon.

So I waited until Tuesday, and put up a few things.

We love the way these fall leaf garlands glow at night with the white lights on.

If you look carefully you can see how dusty my lampshades are! I added fall ribbons and some fall berries to my chandelier.

On my piano I have added some fall flowers and berries, and in my birdbath, some multicolored popcorn and a votive candle.

I changed my shelf in the bathroom, kept the wreath and added a fall leaf garland. The little pumpkin says "give thanks."

On the back of the commode, a metal bucket and some fall flowers.

Emily came up with a fun way to take popcorn and clementines to a movie night at our friends' house! She is one creative girl!

When things get blooming in the garden I will show you my daisy like mums. I enjoy paring the garden back for the fall and winter. There is a beauty in it, that I like.

Have a glorious day!

The red color in the bathroom is "Cut Ruby" and is by Valspar at Lowe's. Valspar is the "house" brand I believe.

It is my favorite red - not too orangey as red's can be sometimes.

It is beautiful with white trim, and perfect for just about all seasonal decor, especially fall and Christmas!

Your decorations look lovely!

I have not decorated inside yet.
I'll probably just do a little bit.

I think that if you had put the clementines in a bowl they would not have been as appealing to the children Sunday night. But as a decoration, they were fun to eat!
It was fun to see them pulling them out.

We are off to our mountain hideaway this morning...so see you Thursday.
