A Lovely Evening

I took no photos last night - it honestly didn't even cross my mind...

I host a tea every year for my fellow home educating moms...last even about 10 came.  It is always a lovely time of sharing and relaxing, getting to know someone new, catching up with someone you haven't seen for months.

We sometimes have 30 ladies and other times only 5 have come...it doesn't matter.  Whoever comes needed to be there and it is always thoroughly enjoyed.

Spicy Holiday Tea, a variety of herbal and black teas, sweet scones, jam, mock Devonshire cream, lemon curd all homemade, with some mini quiches from Costco, and some purchased mini eclairs.

I love how the ladies feel so pampered eating off of glass luncheon plates with real china tea cups!

Soft candles burning, Autumn decor all around.  Everything comfortable, casual, just right.

I am looking forward to next year.

What a sweet thought! So many would be discouraged, or even angry/bitter with a low turnout and feel that all of the preparation wasn't worth it for just a few ladies. I believe that you have the right attitude.

It sounds like a lovely time of fellowship, and I'm quite sure that each woman in attendance was blessed to be there.

The centerpiece looks so pretty!

I host a similar thing each year. It is such a blessing to do something nice for those hard working mommas.

I also loved reading the post before this. Those pictures of Grandpa with his 3 month old granddaughter are melting my heart. Lisa~
