Sowing Sewing

Two main projects for today - I am going to be sewing some skirts today and sowing some seeds in the garden.

The fabric above is going to be a skirt for me!  I love it!  I also am going to work on a skirt for Lindsay and Emily and maybe one for Rachel.

Later, Tim is going to build some more raised beds and then we will get these herbs planted and a few other seeds we have for veggies!

Both kinds of sewing/sowing are creative and that is why I like to do both!

What are you up to today?

Delivering the final orders on the fund raiser and then shopping for the things Chelsea needs for the mission trip to Jamaica.

Chelsea is enjoying the basil plant she bought over the weekend. It went into a special lunchbox lunch for Warren today.

I'm sewing too! Pretty fabric you've chosen.

You know, I find that I NEED to be creative, and have often wondered if this is because I'm made in the image of the CREATOR!

The pattern in that fabric is lovely. Hope that we'll get to see the results.

Did some weeding in some flower beds, painted two legs of a desk we're repurposing from 1/2 a table top, made a pasta salad, did a couple of loads of wash, ran to the library and picked up a book that was "on hold for me", and am finishing up some research for my husband's sermon on Sunday.

Your skirt fabric is very attractive! I'd love to see the style - maybe the finished product?

Oh, how I wish I were sewing! I really wanted to make myself at least one new skirt before this weekend, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Today, we did school and Zeb had so much fun doing a scavenger hunt for his reading program. I also have him doing some math exercises on the computer, which he enjoys.

I made homemade granola bars, and then after dinner, I made homemade granola for our breakfasts.

Sounds like a lovely & creative way to spend the day! It was rainy today so no outside work here, but this afternoon my daughter and I made some pretty envelopes out of the pages of a Victoria Garden Bliss magazine I found for 25 cents.

Blessings,
Sharon
