As I Start My Day

I am thankful.  Thankful for grace and mercy.  Thankful for a sustaining God...did you know that nothing is too difficult for him?

We are doing well.  Last week we felt as if we had the stuffing knocked out of us, but God upheld us in His mighty hands.

I felt your prayers for me and I can't even begin to express how much they mean to me.  The enemy of our souls is crafty - he disguises himself as an Angel of Light ('cause if he was unlovely we would stay far away!).  We had a good friend of ours tell us before Lindsay turned 18, that their would be young men "coming out of the woodwork to tell your daughters that they no longer had to listen to their parents, and they could do what ever they wanted."  It is true, sadly.  Where are the young men of integrity?

God encouraged me in the midst of the trial of this past week.  At church every song, and scripture reading seemed to confirm what God was encouraging me with.

He is able.  There is nothing too difficult that He can't do it.  God is not finished with any of us yet.  He is still working to refine us, to conform us to the image of His Son.

Let's pray for one another, that God might have His way in our hearts so that we may "will and do of His good pleasure."

Sorry you had a rough week, but our God certainly is faithful to work all things out for His glory.

As the KJV puts it: "Be sober, be vigilant because your enemy...like a roaring lion...seeking to devour..."

I rejoice with you in the confirmations you received in word & song...My prayers for you continue. ♥

Yes. It is not easy to raise teenagers and, all too soon, they make their own choices. I'm so glad that the Lord held you up.

How gracious of our Lord (and isn't He always so?) to encourage your heart, directly, just for you. May He continue to go to battle for you!
