On the other side of that gold colored house is a very nice cape cod. The cape cod property has a total of 10 acres and earlier this summer the property was for sale. Then the sign went away and the section of land between the gold house and the hill of grass began to be mowed and then a few weeks ago, trusses were delivered and construction got underway! The owner of the cape cod had subdivided his land and sold off 6 acres. The house on that portion is going up quickly!
This is a photo I took this morning as they began to do the trusses.
Here is a short video
By the time I came home from grocery shopping and errands this afternoon the trusses were all up, the plywood down on the roof and by the time they stopped working the roof over the garage had the felt on.
We've heard that the Cape Cod is sold now, too. It'll be interesting to see how this changes our neighborhood. We have a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and I hope it stays that way!
Here's to awesome neighbors!

Big house...maybe a big family with great kids!
I thought I’d be cranky when our neighborhood developed. But I actually enjoyed the busyness of construction. I even meet some really great workers!

That's exciting! (I think!) It looks like it will be a nice house.
That does look like a large house, and quite close to the other one. Hope it will be full of nice people!
Looks like a nice house, hope you have nice neighbors. Have a great weekend.

Oh WOW! That has really gone up fast for sure!
Looks nice - and having a brand-new build will probably up your property value, too - so perhaps this is a nice thing, indeed. Keep up posted. I am looking forward to seeing more!
Pray about it. I did when the house next door was for sale. We had neighbor's with kids and they were so mean to my grandchildren, I prayed about it and asked for neighbor's our age. My prayers were answered, they were so nice, even helped with my yardwork. Here where we live now are mostly neighbors our age. Quiet and peaceful. I don't mind kids if they are well behaved.
Wow...big changes in your neighborhood! These kinds of changes have happened here lately, too. Although, in my neighborhood we are talking about splitting one acre and putting a house on the other half. It must seem super small in your neck of the woods. My first house (across the street from the one I live in now) was built on a standard lot for our community...40x100 FEET! I can imagine that in your community the driveways are bigger than that!! Enjoy your new neighbors!
Oh I sure hope they are good neighbors! Have a blessed day dear friend. Hugs
