Friday Five

It's a lot of randomness this week for Friday Five.

1. Kyle has been learning to bake. He's asked so I've been teaching him. He's doing great don't you think? The walnuts were at my request. He doesn't like them in brownies and I do, so he tossed some on top for me! {grin}

2. A few weeks ago Jennifer Scott from The Daily Connoisseur shared meals that she made when she didn't feel like cooking, or they had a busy day.  Delicious foods that were easy.  I jumped on this idea, and the best one we've done so far is Fish and Chips. Kyle loves it and Tim and I enjoy it so it was a win-win situation. We looked several places for good, wild caught breaded white fish, and finally found it a one of the Aldi stores in our area. We'll be having this again!

3.  Fresh Eggs. Our hens are laying again. Tomorrow they go to Lindsay's new home to live. I'll miss them but not their mess. We have Amish neighbors who sell eggs for $2.00 a dozen, and that's where we buy our eggs in the winter. Now we'll just buy them year round.

4. Chickens

5. This last one is just a reminder to not live in fear. The media and talking heads have kept us fearful my whole life time.
Let's keep trusting God, loving our neighbors. We are not alone, God is always with us, and we also can build community with others. Let's help each other. Speak truth. Don't give up.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Okay, I have a Brownie mix and walnuts...☺️ Looks good, Kyle.

Love that graphic—No truth there at all. I think that people are waking up to just how vile the msm is.

I know that you love the hens so I imagine that you will visit them now and again. $2 is a bargain for farm
fresh eggs.

I always have to make "half and half" brownies-half with pecans and half without for everyone's taste.

It is fun that Kyle is learning to bake! I think every guy should know some kitchen basics. I will check out Jennifer Scott . . .

Oh, the chickens! I get it, they're sweet, but that mess...any you can visit! Haha!
