Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's 70th birthday!

He is a good dad.  I so appreciate how he has matured in the Lord over the years, and how even at age 70 he is still working to learn how to be the man God wants him to be.  He loves his family and is so proud of all of us.

We tease him about his love of Jeopardy and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire!  He likes these shows because he likes to challenge his vast knowledge on many subjects! We used to call him "Mr. Cliffy" - after the character "Cliff Claven" on Cheers!

Oh, and I can't forget to mention his new obsession with Bowling!  He goes with our co-op group every week and has made great strides in improving...he has bowled two 200+ games recently!

Happy Birthday Dad!

We love you!

Happy Birthday Blinker Bob!

I must say-your dad looks closer to 50 than 70 if you ask me.

Happy Birthday to Bob!

It is so nice of you to share your Dad with us. Our family all loves him too.

Pretty soon he will be old enough to play with the seniors down the way...lol...not yet, though!

Wow!
I knew your dad was knowledgable, but didn't know about the Jeopardy and Millionairre obsession!
He is a godly man, and one you can be very proud of!

Thanks for your sweet post on Dad. He is bowling right now (ha ha) but I will have him read this when he gets home. It will be a great day for him.

Karen,

You are right, my dad does not look 70! Very young looking...I hope I got those genes from him!

The photo of him is from March when he and my mom took my two oldest girls to California with them!

Oh please wish him a happy bday from me! He sounds so much like my dad, except for the bowling part!! I don't know if my dad has ever bowled a day in his life! But my dad is still striving to be the man, hubby, dad that God would have him be.

BTW-My Gramps took up bowling in his late 80's. I don't know how good he was at it but we credit it with improving his strength and endurance.

He was always healthy and in good shape, but bowling made a difference for the better. So be sure to cheer you dad on in his bowling!
