Lindsay took this photo after lunch today while we were all visiting.
Norbert and Anie and their daughters are from West Africa. We had a lovely lunch of grilled chicken, macaroni salad, green salad and applesauce. Raspberry tea and unsweetened tea, pineapple mango juice, coffee - sweet of course were on the menu. Oh, and for dessert a lovely butter yellow cake, fresh strawberries, and freshly whipped cream! Delightful!
The blessing of all of this is as Tim prayed at lunch "We have only met but because of Christ we can have instant fellowship in Him." There are challenges preparing for guests you have never met before but there is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and to share your home and family with them. I find that people don't often invite others' into their home. It really means a lot to people to be thought of and invited.
Our pastor Mike, can for lunch too. We knew he would love the opportunity to meet our guests. Plus, we kind of like him - he is a great friend.
When they left this afternoon it was to go to Hershey Chocolate World...sounds good doesn't it?
