Ecclesiastes 3
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
With Autumn on the wane, I find myself reflective and pondering so many things. The changes in our nation, elections, horrible evil around the world, pain, suffering, friendships, serving others, walking with God in hard times.
I don't have any answers. I only know He keeps calling me to keep my eyes on Him. On His work in my life - stretching me, correcting me - opening my eyes to needs, to love others, to have compassion, to pray, to be His hands and feet.
With the holidays on the horizon, I am focused on Thankfulness.
I think it is a learned skill, being thankful. I want to teach my children to recognize their blessings, and to think of being a blessing to others. It's something we'll all work at for the rest of our lives.
Regardless of the season we can be thankful.

I can be a fearful person but The Lord keeps calling me to look to Him, to trust Him for the future.
The World is crazy and we would ALL be so much better off if everyone would put the focus on HIM! Thank you for sharing from your heart! HUGS!
Lovely words that reflect what is really important - focusing on our Lord and how he wants us to act.
