It's a 2008 Chevy Uplander with only 100, 400 miles on it! I'm so thankful to have my 'own' vehicle again.
Here's the backstory on the vehicle situation.
Before Tim started our business, he was driving a Dodge truck that he had bought used. It was only used to go back and forth to work, and to haul hay, firewood, and mulch. I was driving our Saturn Relay minivan. It worked.
Then when he started his business he needed a vehicle that would haul all of his tools and equipment and that looked much nicer than his truck. That left me with the truck, which was fine, but it was a bit more challenging driving the kids around in it.
Add to that friends of ours were selling their home and doing a lot of work and borrowed the truck for weeks at a time (I used their car during those times), or times when Tim need the truck to pull the trailer when he needed to haul water for his inspections.
I never knew if I'd have a vehicle available or what I would be driving. After our friends got moved to their new home, things settled down, but then Rachel got her license and could drive herself to work, especially nice when she closes, but challenging if I need it during the time she was at work.
This is a long story, but recently we felt we had enough margin to buy something used and set a budget. We were looking for a Honda Civic or something, but we weren't finding anything in the budget.
What we did find was this Chevy Uplander, which is the same body style as our Relay. We really like this style, and it is 3 years newer than our Relay and 200,000 miles less!
We decided that this would be a good option for us as a family as we still go places together and sometimes my parents ride with us. We'll be going on a rode trip to visit my MIL later in autumn, and this will be nicer than putting the seats in Tim's work vehicle. Also should something happen to his van, then he can quickly transfer everything to the Uplander and we'll get a different family vehicle.
Did you follow all that? Lol!
We are thankful to have been able to pay cash, and pay for the tax and title and still be within our budget!

This sounds like a great new ride for you and your family.
Congrats on your new vehicle!! The Lord provides!!
Yes, so glad that you were able to budget it in. It's so nice to have a reliable vehicle. Looks nice too!
I can't believe that you found one with only 100,000 miles on it. We recently bought one for my son after hunting for months and our 2008 Chevy Uplander has 200,000 miles on it. You have many happy years of driving coming, so baby your ride and make sure if you do nothing else, get the oil chanced quarterly.
