New Morning Mercies

Rachel came home for Christmas break, highly recommending this devotional by Paul David Tripp.  I quickly ordered one for me, and one for Tim.

I've been using mine since Christmas, but here is the one for the first day of the new year.

It's a great way to start the new year with a focus on who our life is supposed to be about, not ourselves, but about God.  I'm looking forward to how the Lord may use this book in my life this year.

Happy New Year!

  2. This makes me think too much. Dangerous. I shall have to study more to see if I agree with Paul David Tripp. On the face of it, I am conflicted. This much thinking on New Year’s Day is interfering with my Amazon Prime movie watching marathon.

  3. I have never sat under the teaching of or read any of PDT, but I know he is well thought of. A close friend here was in college with him and still friends, thinks the world of him. I hope the devotional is a real blessing for you this year. Nice to have a child rec. a book!

  4. Fresh devotionals, journals, prayer books and such are wonderful! I am going to bring a hymn book to the ranch the next time.
