Home At Last
Though we saw such beauty on our trip, I am delighted to be at home.
Last evening I went around lighting candles and oil lamps, making hot chocolate, hugging my granddaughter...
There is a beauty here, too in my home in spite of the dust on the piano...the beauty of a family. Many days, today is one, we will be heading out and about going to work or to get groceries, each one doing something different.
But at it's core the heart of our home is our mutual love for the Lord, and our love for each other, and our love for others. God is so good to us.
Time to head out to get food....big job for this group, but it is a privilege to serve my family in this way.
What are you up to this beautiful Friday?

Welcome home!
I'll be prepping for a craft show tomorrow and taking Chels to work.
Yes! God is good! :) Have a beautiful weekend!
It is wonderful to know that you are safely home. I'm so glad that you had a nice trip, but I agree with you...there's no place like home.
We went to the Fryeburg Fair today and I will have plenty of photos up tomorrow for my readers' perusal.
Say "howdy" to all the gang!
You've been where I've wanted to go for a long, LONG time...I love it that you went around lighting candles, etc. once home.
We had Ladies' Bible study this morning. Such a joy to be together. We share a lunch, too. Husband has been mowing lawn. We found some "freebies" beside the road last night. We're going to clean them up and he'll do a little refinishing, too. Not sure what the evening holds yet...
Welcome home! I so understand. I'm sure each memory made was well worth the time away but, to quote Dorothy, "there's no place like home!"
Blessings, Debbie
It's always good to get home, no matter how enjoyable your trip is :) Of course, home is my favorite place to be. My neighbor had a yard sale today, so between homeschooling 3 kids, I threw a few things in with hers and went and helped her with it. My kids were back and forth across the street all morning :)
Hope your weekend is wonderful!
Blessings,
Marcia
Oh yes, what a blessing it is...not only to be home, but to be glad to be home, your own little sanctuary from the world!
I will have to confess that grocery shopping is one of my least favorite chores. I'd much rather do laundry...or clean the bathroom. (I know. I'm weird.) I love your attitude of doing the big jobs with an attitude of service.
So to answer your question (even though it is Saturday now!), that most beautiful Friday was spent preparing for a gathering of friends at our home. Today will be cleaning out the chimney in preparation for woodburning season (that is, my husband will be cleaning out the chimney...I will be cleaning up from the inevitable mess indoors), and then making some pepper relish with the bounty of peppers from the garden.
Happy weekend!
What a peace filled posting. You speak to a very contented heart. Dawn E. Brown
Amen! Sweet little home!
