A Rare Day In January

The weather being particularly fine this morning found us out the door in the late morning and on our way to a nearby State Park.

 Happily, I remembered my camera!

The kids are growing up so quickly.

It was a fun way to get Physical Education done today.

More young lady now, than girl.  Beautiful inside and out….

It's beautiful thing to have these days together.  All too soon, comes adulthood and marriage and grandchildren.

I am thankful for it all and drinking in the fun and the joy.

We came home for lunch, and more school work, resting time and the mail!  These days there are such fun packages arriving!

Such picturesque landscapes. Love the pictures of the children. You are so right, I savour my times with my girls, they grow up so fast.

I love the warmth! So nice to get a few of these tucked in with the cold. What park was this?

Such a sweet post. I'm sure it felt good to be in the great outdoors today! And I appreciate your musings on soaking in the time spent together. Oh, indeed it goes so, so quickly.

The best place for physical education is surely a park and freedom to run and play as you've shown. Lovely photos of childhood happiness.

Hard to believe how cold it was a week ago! A wonderful day to be outside! Great photos -- now I'm trying to figure out if they are all your kids …

It was in the high 50's here and so lovely. What a great way to get some exercise. Enjoy every moment.

A beautiful day and post in every way. Just my two cents (yes, I know that's not worth a dime) but if more kids (and adults!)actually played outside, we wouldn't have a world so consumed with belly aching about childhood obesity and ADD. Just play, folks. Deep breaths and belly laughs while doing so are gravy on the taters.

Beautiful times and GORGEOUS pictures! My Daughter and I were talking yesterday about how we enjoy each day. The kids are all growing up way too fast! Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!

It got up to 50 yesterday! Hard to believe within a day or two the high is to be in the teens again.

I always appreciate a January thaw, even when it makes for a very muddy lawn.
