A Visit To Downton Abbey

Wednesday, my friend Bonnie and I met up at Winterthur in Delaware to view their exhibit of costumes from Downton Abbey. What a great time we had.

This is just a sneak preview.  More to come on Friday.

See you Friday!

  1. What a great show, and you are blessed to see this exhibit. I love how the two dowager countesses dress, so regal and from older times, and of course the pretty young ladies of the family in all the current styles of the times. I look forward to seeing more of your photos.

  2. Beautiful!
Is this a traveling exhibit? And is there a place you can check to see if it's coming to your area? My older daughter (the one in DC), would absolutely LOVE to see this. She's a huge D.A. fan, and exhibits of any sort are up her alley.

    1. Debbie, it is not going to travel! I thought someone had mentioned on line that they were going to see it in a different location, but a guide at the house yesterday mentioned that they were curating this exhibit, and that this was the only place you could see it! It's not too far for her to come! She really should! It's fab!

  4. Oh how fun! For a minute I thought you were flash backing to your trip last year. You do look like you are right in front of the house! :-)

  5. Oh that looks like such fun! (It really looks as if YOU ARE THERE! (I hate to yell, but I hate remembering the code for italics even more.)

Looking forward to hearing more about it!

    1. It was such fun! I ended up taking photos for a lot of groups of friends, but Bonnie and I forgot to ask someone to take ours together! Bah!

  6. Oh, what a treat! I love that grey striped dress of Mary's, and her Edwardian blue coat (wonder if you'll show that one on Friday.) The photo does make you look like you're in front of the castle.
