One I really wanted to find was a black tea cup and about 16 years ago, when we were away on an anniversary trip, I found one.
I find it unique that it has a luncheon plate and not a traditional saucer.
The floral pattern is beautiful, too.
I'm joining Bernideen and Sandi again today. I hope you'll take a look at these fun parties.

I also have a black tea cup. Never would have bought it, but I take good care of it because it is most unusual compared to the others. Your set has a special name, which I have forgotten. I think they are wonderful for parties when people are not all able to be seated at a table.
This is really quite beautiful. I love the black with the floral design and how it's off center...very unique indeed!
I love this one. I don't remember seeing it....but perhaps it is the photography that is grabbing my eye this time. I've always loved black with any pretty color!
What a treasure! I love the floral design!
My step son gave me a set of tea dishes that have the plate instead of the saucer! They are Japanese. I'll be using them tomorrow for a high tea at lunch time for the quads!
I so enjoy seeing your pretty things!
Such a lovely set, and the flowers are quite beautiful. Happy spring with love Janice
Very pretty and a nice addition to your collection! Black teacups are striking and a bit uncommon compared to white teacups.
...Unusual, but so very charming, I truly love it, dear Deanna, thank you for sharing this Beauty with us !
Hope you're having a blessed week
I'm sending love to you,
with sincere gratitude
Dany
I adore it. I am swooning. How unique!
It's a beauty, Deanna! I love the roses too; very unique. I have a black and gold one that my brother gifted me with for a shower gift years ago. Thank you for sharing and Happy Easter!
Love it! I've always been partial to black teacups.
Dear Deanna:
I love your English Tea and Crumpet Set. The black background pieces are so striking. I think you have something really lovely. So glad you shared and linked!
That is lovely, Deanna -- very unusual! Blue Danube calls that type of plate and cup a "snack set" -- I have six of them. Bought them in remembrance of my mother and think of her every time I use them.
My mother and mother-in-law had those sets - called Hostess Sets here. Your black teacup is striking with the pink roses. Very pretty.
