Over the last few years I've been adding live plants to my home, in addition to the faux boxwood balls I have. The place I've purchased most, if not all, of them has been Aldi.
Last week when I bought the clearance roses, I also bought this hyacinth in a glass jar.
It has bloomed now and there are three blooms total on it. The scent is sweet, and I love having it at the kitchen window.
The other day I stopped in at Aldi (this is not a sponsored post) for a few items, and they had houseplants! They had three kinds that I saw, Pathos, Ivy, and Ferns. I have thriving pathos plants, and a lovely ivy, but my fern hasn't been well, so I purchased a new one.
The quality of these plants are wonderful and the prices are amazing.
Do you have house plants? Where do you buy yours? What are your favorite house plants to grow?
I do have a pathos that Lindsay grew from a cutting of one of her plants. She's in the middle of packing to move in a few weeks, but after she gets settled she's going to be selling cuttings online. I'll link all the information once she is set up. Her brother in law sells aloes online. He has very interesting varieties. There is a whole thriving community of plant lovers online, who buy and sell.

sounds like an interesting business venture... I purchase my summer plants from a locally owned small nursery... They have good prices and lush plants...my hardy geraniums came from there. Here I am overwintering them again.
I love Aldi!
I have seen cut flowers there, but not potted plants. Maybe later this Spring.
I get most of my plants at Meijers, which is a Midwestern chain of grocery stores (something like Target). In spring and summer, I sometimes purchase house plants at a local nursery that stocks them during those months. I've seen flowers at our Aldi but not plants.
Louis Dean has a lot of Aloe Vera plants. I don’t have any green plants in the house. Or live plants! I had a pot plant from Mother’s funeral but I kept forgetting to water it. I finally set it outside. It’s probably dead by now. I have taken care of so many plants and pets and people in my life that I’m simply tired. Pets and plants are gone but I will keep the people!
I am going to Aldi today!! I am not so great with plants . . . but if they're not too expensive and if they live a little while, then it's still a good deal. :)
I've pretty much given up on houseplants. Unless someone gives me one. But I always look at Aldi anyway, they have such good deals on them and the fresh flowers!
Your houseplants are very pretty. I get a lot of mine at the grocery store, too, and I'm doing better at keeping them alive and happy. Hyacinths are such beautiful spring flowers, so fragrant as well as showy.
