We had snow Friday late into Saturday morning, and it was beautiful. Tim and I slept in and got a text from Rachel wondering if we'd like to join her for late breakfast at a local grill.
Of course, we did! When your adult kids invite you, you go! So off we went and the roads were mostly clear, except one, and we got their fine. While there we watched it snow big flakes at one point and enjoyed our time together. By the time we headed home, the snow had stopped and the roads were clear!
My plan for the day was to completely clear the counters in the kitchen and give everything a good cleaning.
I did this and am pleased with it! I didn't think to take photos until after dinner when we were playing Mexican train with my parents and our granddaughter Kamryn.
This round I had more tiles not in my train than I had in my train! I still did okay and I think I ended with only two tiles left. We had fun.
Art work in my bedroom
Saturday night into Sunday morning we got two more inches of snow, and our church met for one service at 10:30. We had about 40 people there. To be fair our young adults were away on a retreat, but we do run about 200 people on a Sunday morning. For us the roads we travel to church were just slushy, but many townships don't plow out as fast, or as well, as others. Plus, I can't blame people for deciding to just stay home. The temps are low these days!
We didn't have our grands with us, so we were free to go to lunch with friends. The restaurant we went to was not busy at all and so we had a lovely lunch, and a great time talking. We could take our time, and we did, since the restaurant was not busy.
We came home to a relaxing afternoon, and bit of a snooze, and a visit with our friend Denny.
Tim has office work today, and is right now shoveling the driveway, after a bit more snow in the afternoon yesterday. He'll clean off his Suburban and then come into work in the office.
I should be at Bible study right now but with the low temps, and iffy roads (for some) our leader decided we'd postpone until next time! I'm just fine with that!
What are you up to today? I think I should do a bit of vacuuming and dusting. Bit by bit it all gets done.
