Weekend

My husband owns his own business and works hard. He often is working on reports and paperwork in the evenings, after a long day. He uses Saturdays to do projects or help people with their projects, etc.

Earlier in the week, however, I asked if he had plans, he didn't, and then asked him if we could go out together to a few stores I enjoy. He quickly agreed.

After sleeping in, which is a treat for him, we got on our way mid morning. Hobby Lobby first, where we got a new welcome mat, and I bought yarn for a baby blanket.

Then we went to a local antique mall. This place is big, and while I still managed to find this water color painting and a beautiful tea cup, many of the booths are turning into pop culture collectible booths. Like hundreds of Pez dispensers, and other memorabilia.

Here is my teacup.

For me to buy any more teacups they have to be unique in some way and this one has a cup shape I do not have!

So we went to an antique store in Strasburg that we hadn't been to in a few years, and there was a lot to see. Three floors worth!

Tim found this platter for me!

It is gorgeous! I'll get a better photo this week. It's dark and rainy today.

Tim also found this mug.

It's not polish potter but looks similar. We are trying to upgrade our mugs, and get rid of all the ones the kids collected while living at home but now do not want! The goal is to have few mugs, but more that are pottery style.

Here is a closer look at the painting.

I found the same print on Etsy selling for about $65 dollars more than I paid for it! Wow!

When we got home on Saturday, the last of the ewes had lambed and so we stopped to look at them all. Steven, the Amishman who owns them had come over and got the fencing set up again and the ewes were enjoying the spring grass! There are a total of six lambs. One ewe had triplets, the second ewe had twins, and the last ewe had a singleton. She was not showing much interest in her lamb and we noticed in Sunday that there were only five lambs, so I believe Steven and the family are bottle feeding that last lamb.

I made the Cracker Barrel copycat recipe again for grilled chicken tenderloins, green beans cooked in bacon grease and biscuits for dinner.

Sunday, we took to grands to church, and came home and made sub sandwiches. Kyle joined us and then he and Kamryn went off to the store and a few activities. (We'd already taken Kenny home) The day was lovely and warm and we talked about doing a fire. I reached out to friends to see if they wanted to join us but we ended up at their house!

We sat out in the garden for a while.

We ate dinner outside, moved inside for a while, then we came home. It was a very good day.

I hope your weekends were just as lovely.
