We've waited a very long time for this and are really pleased with how it turned out! Our new door light arrived this morning so Tim will have that up before night time.
Well, this was my excitement but people in California have been dealing with fires. I grew up in Southern California and we had fires but nothing like this. This woman said it well.
After we were first married Tim worked construction and worked on a home being built in Pacific Palisades. Small lot huge house, neighbor houses right on top of each other. It is a lovely area, and very near Malibu. It's sad to see it all burned, and their insurers cancelled their policies. California needs huge changes to their leadership.

This week the election was officially certified!
Trump has been talking about Greenland, a lot. It's not unusual for a nation to buy land from another nation. Remember the Louisiana Purchase? Remember Alaska? People at the time thought that was folly but it turned out to be important!
We built the Panama Canal, and controlled it until Jimmy Carter gave it away to Panama. Now the Chinese are making in roads to control it. That will affect our nation in negative ways.
Also about the Gulf of America. Here's a thought I heard this morning. Biden has banned drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, but if the Gulf is renamed then the US can drill because its the Gulf of America! Optics and workarounds.
Jimmy Carter's funeral was yesterday. People made a lot about how chatty Obama and Trump were. Trump will talk to anyone. I found this funny lip reading video.
Kamala was not happy at how chatty they were. Then there was the icy coldness between the Bidens and the Harris/Emhoff's.
Trump sentencing this morning. This whole trial was illegal. The judge announced a head of time what his sentence would be. When does that happen? It influenced the Supreme Court. Trump is going to appeal and will win on appeal. What a waste of tax payers money.
Onto other news.
I like where Fetterman stands on this. He's one of my senators. I don't agree with him on everything but this I do. You can stop the video after the clip of Fetterman, because the host goes into an ad.
Enough is enough. This isn't normal. Why do leaders in countries favor the migrants over their own people for housing, jobs, issues of crime. Do the citizens of a country not have any rights?
I hope Meta will really change. I think we need to be cautious. These tech guys are just wanting to make inroads with Trump because they see the huge victory he had. If Harris had won, would Meta be joining X in their stand for free speech?
It's cold here and I'm getting ready to go to get groceries. I think I'll wear a hat today! Have a good weekend!
