Beautiful Saturday Morning
I'm sitting out on the deck this morning. It's 65 degrees on a July morning. That is unbelievable!
The roosters are crowing, and the hens clucking loudly this morning. Today we are having a dear family with young kids over for the late afternoon and dinner. It's hard to find time to get together, but it's so worth it! We've been friends for about 7 years now, right after they had their fourth child. They now have seven! (they have us beat by one!) We just love this active, busy crew. Can't wait to spend sometime with them today!
I'm enjoying the beauty of the Butterfly bushes around the house. I thought they had all died in the long, cold winter we had 3 winters ago, but they've made it back and are more beautiful than ever!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Saturday
We went to the movies yesterday and enjoyed it very much. Since we went on a school day, in the morning no less, we very nearly had the place to ourselves.
The theater has big reclining seats, I was so comfortable! The movie was really good, and we've been enjoying talking about it and it's themes and characters.
Today, I am hoping to get my desk cleared, and to get to some hemming of pants that have, embarrassingly, put off for too long now.
I'm still knitting hats. I'm working with a lovely green right now. I'm also finding time to read a series of books that Kati got me started on when she gifted me with the first two books! It's The Scottish Crown series by Carol Umberger. I'm on book three now and Sarah has finished them all!
I also plan to do a bit of baking, trying out some new THM recipes.
Tim is taking Sarah, and going to help his friend Caleb begin to move. The big furniture will be moved on Tuesday, but tomorrow they are moving all the other stuff! Tim likes to take the kids along to learn to help and serve others. He's going to treat her to breakfast.

Rainy Saturday
It started raining last evening, and had continued this morning. It looks as if it has stopped for the moment.
It's the perfect day for doing some spring cleaning in the kitchen. For me today, this means clearing the counters off and thoroughly washing the countertops and wiping everything down. Then the fun of arranging them - will they go back in the spots that they've been in or will we put them somewhere else? I like to try new things, so I think we'll be changing it up in the kitchen!
Rachel is making bread for communion tomorrow, and I am repotting my Mother Fern. Tim and Kyle are off buying some tools that time will need for his job.
I'm going to be putting an apron on as soon as I am done with this post. I'll turn on my bluetooth speaker and play some good music while we get busy in the kitchen.
Later we are going to see Cinderella.

Saturday
Today was simply beautiful here.
I went to my parents to work on the downstairs bathroom - I am almost done painting, I just have the cabinet doors to finish. Then the rest is all theirs! hee hee
Then I drove home and picked up the kids and their great friend Danielle and drove to meet Danielle's dad. They moved to a different county and we live more than an hour away, so whenever we have the chance to work it out, she comes to stay a few days with us, or my girls go there. It is a friendship worth working for and continuing.
Then we met my husband at his work and he took the littles home and the older girls and I went to the mall ( a rare occurance) to look for shoes. I just hate most shoes these days or else they cost a fortune! We came home with a couple of books instead!!!
Now we are going to eat our spaghetti and meatballs, and enjoy the rest of the evening.
My darling and I may even bundle up and sit on the deck together for awhile. Alone. Seriously.
Have a Blessed Palm Sunday!
