I Am Spending The Day With My Little Man

My little man and I are going to spend the day together - just he and I!
We are going into the store while Emily is at the dentist.  Then when she gets back we are going grocery shopping.  The other girls are spending the day with Grandpa at the Horse Expo.

Our plan is to go to our discount grocery place, our natural foods place, Target, Chick-fil-A, then Costco.

He is such a great little guy.  I will have to keep it moving along today so he doesn't get bored.  He gets to use some birthday money and wants to find a new I Spy game!

I'm looking forward to it.  I know how quickly time goes by.  My oldest is now 22 and a Dad.  He doesn't like to go grocery shopping with his Mommy anymore!  Besides, I am still Kyle's favorite person - I plan to take full advantage of it for as long as I can!

  2. You enjoy this day... I know exactly what you mean. My 'little' man came by for awhile last night. I still stare at him and wonder, "how did this happen?" At least I'm still his favorite person and I'm relishing it because... I'm also praying that the Lord will bring Him a new 'favorite'. ;)

    Blessings, Debbie

    * I knew you would be excited for Erin and wanted to let you know, but we are still having some trouble being sure our email site is secure. So, thanks for all of the exclamation points!

  5. Oh I hope that you are all in the middle of fun right now. My son was about eight when he decided that there'd be no more shopping with me if there was any other option. Just as you say, he's not been shopping with me since.

  6. Oh, I hope that you and Kyle had a delightful day...full of boy-ish fun and getting things done. It can't hurt that a little toy shopping is on the agenda. :-)

I am relating to Vee whose son did not enjoy shopping with her. My son used to accuse me of "tricking" him if I combined a stop into Walmart with any other activity. What? Like I should run him home before I picked up milk? Not really. (Although, in his defense, I am a bit slow...and do tend to pick up more than milk when I dart in.)

    Happy weekend to all...

  8. What a sweet post, and what an adorable, handsome young man. And oh how right you are about time passing so quickly, it seems that they are gone in a blink. What I find so amazing is that though they might not want to go shopping with us when they get older, they never out grow that need to talk with us mothers! ~smile~ That is the icing on the cake.
It is a joy to be able to visit again, thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers .
    Hugs,
    Sue

  9. You sound just like me...my oldest is 23 and has a 1 year old daughter...my youngest is 10 and still thinks his momma is the best and loves to shop too. :) His favorite places are Goodwill and yard sales...I'm raising him right! :)
Oh and I agree with you, window seats are the BEST places to sit and relax. I can't wait to soak up some morning rays of sun there myself! (better get it built first! ha!)
