Weekend

I wrote a Weekend post last week and hit publish. Today I found it in my drafts folder. Sigh. This is the second time that has happened to me recently. I'll keep a better eye on it from now on.

I hope your Thanksgiving (if you're from the US) was good. I hope you were with people you care about and who care about you!

Our daughter Emma and her family arrived on Saturday the 18th. We had moved my parents into their new 'quarters' on Friday. The addition was done just in time! We have some painting of trim and some painting of our old kitchen space to do still, but otherwise the whole project is done!

Here are photos from the Saturday before Thanksgiving, of getting the kitchen settled.

On Sunday afternoon, we took family photos! It was a lot of fun and lots of people to wrangle. I can't wait to see them.

This photo is of the aunties and a few uncles/dad trying to get the kids attention! Lol!

Emma mentioned to Sarah that she and Vinnie are still the chicken fight champs in their family in Tennessee, so Sarah had to give it a go with Kyle. Emma and Vinnie beat them, too! Fun times!

Thanksgiving Day we had 21 people here, including Sarah's boyfriend from Canada.

During the week, the kids and grands played a lot of Stick Fight on the Switch.

Our grandson Clark is a "mans man" as his parents say. He likes to work with Grandpa doing man stuff, and I caught this photo of them talking about something. I love it!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Tim's family arrived. Nearly every member of the family was there.

These are Tim's sisters.

This was after breakfast before everyone arrived.

This was late in the day, before Emma and Vinnie left to drive home to Tennessee over night. The kids got some screen time with cousins.

It was a precious time being together.

This is a cousin only photo from the day. Nate and Kay were not there yet, and only Emma's two oldest are in the photo.

It was a wonderful weekend. We had eight people stay at our house, including our great nephew, 12 week old Enoch, and newly weds on the left, William and our niece Sara!

We have so much to be thankful for and we are!

Psalm 105:1-5

Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!

Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderous works!

Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!

Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!

Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles and the judgments he uttered.

Information Friday

We had a Thanksgiving meal and communion this week with our church. Kamryn helped me set up the centerpieces for the tables. I used battery candles, dried hydrangea from my limelights, dried oranges that I did this week, and cranberries. The sticks are from the hydrangea.

It was simple but pretty and other than the candles it all was disposable at the end of the evening.

Now to the information.

This is scary.

Language alert. This is an insurrection. This is not what happened on January 6, 2021.  The Capitol Police didn't fight with the J6 people (most walked between the ropes like they were on a tour of the capitol), they welcomed them in. In fact with the 'shaman' guy three police officers took him around the building showing him into offices etc. That is why he was released from prison!
Do you know there are people in DC jail for J6 and they haven't even had a trial yet? It's bad.

Nothing will happen to these protestors. Shameful.

The inspector is coming today to give the okay about the addition being ready for occupancy! We'll be moving my parents in to their own place soon!

Our daughter arrives tomorrow with her family! So exciting!

Weekend

Tim took care of the leaves this weekend, so I thought I'd show you one of my grands having fun last week in them!

My kitchen is still intact, and will be until Wednesday or Thursday. It is causing us some anxious moments trusting that the addition will be done enough, and this area will be finished by Thanksgiving.

Basically, the living space of the addition will be done by this weekend. We will have the crew here next week too, finishing out some of these things on our side of the house.

We are eager to have this all finished! So very exciting!

The flooring looks so good.

Sarah helped me cut the garden back on Saturday, and it looks much better. We have to decide what exactly we will be doing out front but in the short term it will go back to its former set up, well, minus the lamppost!

Information Friday

Well, I just saw that my last week's post was left as a draft! What?!

I published it incase you want to go back and read it.

Our addition is so close to being finished! Ah, it's looking so good. Yesterday our crew was all off because one of the guys got married! The Amish have their weddings in November and December on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

They are back today and working hard already!

I'm not sure where to start so I'll just get started!

This is pretty horrific. The media knew Hamas was going to attack and embedded photo journalists with them on October 7th.

Things are not going well for Ol' Joe. Sadly that means things aren't going well for our nation.

Run by the Chinese. Do you see now how people in positions of power can be blackmailed?

This judge already has decided to get Trump by breaking up his companies etc. He's corrupt. Trump will have it all reversed on appeal. What a waste of taxpayer money.

Do not forget this.

Pray, pray, pray! God knows, and can give us discernment and wisdom.

Have a great weekend.
