I wrote a Weekend post last week and hit publish. Today I found it in my drafts folder. Sigh. This is the second time that has happened to me recently. I'll keep a better eye on it from now on.
I hope your Thanksgiving (if you're from the US) was good. I hope you were with people you care about and who care about you!
Our daughter Emma and her family arrived on Saturday the 18th. We had moved my parents into their new 'quarters' on Friday. The addition was done just in time! We have some painting of trim and some painting of our old kitchen space to do still, but otherwise the whole project is done!
Here are photos from the Saturday before Thanksgiving, of getting the kitchen settled.
On Sunday afternoon, we took family photos! It was a lot of fun and lots of people to wrangle. I can't wait to see them.
This photo is of the aunties and a few uncles/dad trying to get the kids attention! Lol!Emma mentioned to Sarah that she and Vinnie are still the chicken fight champs in their family in Tennessee, so Sarah had to give it a go with Kyle. Emma and Vinnie beat them, too! Fun times!
Thanksgiving Day we had 21 people here, including Sarah's boyfriend from Canada.
During the week, the kids and grands played a lot of Stick Fight on the Switch.
Our grandson Clark is a "mans man" as his parents say. He likes to work with Grandpa doing man stuff, and I caught this photo of them talking about something. I love it!
The Saturday after Thanksgiving, Tim's family arrived. Nearly every member of the family was there.
These are Tim's sisters.
This was after breakfast before everyone arrived.
This was late in the day, before Emma and Vinnie left to drive home to Tennessee over night. The kids got some screen time with cousins.
It was a precious time being together.
This is a cousin only photo from the day. Nate and Kay were not there yet, and only Emma's two oldest are in the photo.
It was a wonderful weekend. We had eight people stay at our house, including our great nephew, 12 week old Enoch, and newly weds on the left, William and our niece Sara!
We have so much to be thankful for and we are!
Psalm 105:1-5
Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wonderous works!
Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!
Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually!
Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles and the judgments he uttered.
