Scrapbook Journals

A sweet blogging friend, Jewels, got many of us started on these scrapbook type journals.  A place to jot down a to do list, a bible verse, a quote, and to do it amongst beautiful pictures.

I'd gotten away from it, but had been wanting to get back to it.  Yesterday, I sat out on my deck, in the beautiful weather, and worked on a few pages.

Do you journal?  Have you ever made a scrapbook journal?

ps- I wanted to tell you all that I contacted Netflix through their FB page.  I went to the support tab and then clicked on live chat.  It took two minutes to make my view known, and I think that if more people did that, they would know that people are paying attention to their programming.

  1. I keep a garden journal, noting down when seeds are planted, when things flower, and reminders to myself to do things. I'm putting some photos in it too. I love to look aback after a year in my garden.

  2. Glad you followed the prompting to contact Netflex. (Honestly, we have never watched anything on Netflex and rarely watch any movies at our house. Not bragging. Just stating facts. I think it's our age, LOL!)

Your journal is beautiful. The quotes you wrote out are very astute. I don't "scrapbook journal" but journal. Lots of quotes, too - very few pictures. Journals from my many years (age again) already take up several shelves on my bookshelf. Can't imagine where I'd store yet another set of books! Still, it's tempting!

  3. I cannot believe that they could make a charming and lovely book smutty. What is wrong with these people? Leave these lovely stories alone! Not just for children but also for me.

  4. I have had a journal before but not with photo's. Good idea though.

  5. I really love what others do, but I truly loathe this kind of project because I do not enjoy cutting and I despise glue. Recently, I have considered trying a form of doodle journaling after seeing some on Instagram.

  6. I have all kinds of journals and this reminds me of my "altered" journals that I used to make. I made one of a trip to England that I'm thankful to have made, but like Vee, I avoid glue if I can! I do not write in journals as much as I used to, probably because of blogging. But I have been thankful for journals I've kept during family member's illnesses and deaths, and stories our parents told us about their lives. I am now starting to read my journals from college and early marriage. Interesting!

  8. I keep a garden journal but have not done scrapbooking to create a life journal. Yours is nice Deanna, the text beside the photos heartfelt.
