Thrift store straw bag - Eddie Bauer brand
A few months ago, we were in a thrift store when I spotted this delightful bag. I think I paid $4.00 for it. Its got a navy and white gingham lining and a sweet little tie to hold it closed.
I find that I have used it nearly the whole summer so far. It just seems to go with everything I wear.

I have a largish pewter colored purse that I have been using since Christmas. I have it all organized with stuff (lots of compartments) and it goes with navy or with black (my two clothing color basics), so I haven't changed it out for something more summery. Most summer bags do not have the compartments that I love (need?).
Regarding Vee's comment . . . maybe I carry too much stuff! I can't imagine all of my "needs" fitting into a clutch! :D

I love this bag! I've been thinking that I need to find a new one for our trip out West. The bag I use most of the time is a beautiful tote a friend made for me, but it is getting tired.

Hahahahaha...well now that's what I thought when I made the switch. Then I realized that my car is mine alone; I am the only one who uses it so it has all the extras that used to be in my large purse. My sister-in-law, who carries nothing except cash and a debit card in her pocket, once accused me of carrying a suitcase. Too funny.

My mom has always had a huge purse! I used to do only smallish handbags and then only carried a wallet for a few years. Now I use a medium size bag, generally.
I find thrift stores are hit or miss for me.
