Weekend

 We had an enjoyable weekend, I hope you all did, too.

Painting still continued, and is now finished except for painting the trim pieces and doors before they are hung later this week.

My trees are changing fast, and as I sat out on Saturday, enjoying extremely mild weather for late October, the leaves were showering down.

I love how this photo of leaves on the windshield looked on Friday when I took Kyle to work.

I picked out these trees 22 years ago, and they were only 6 feet tall! They bring me joy every autumn.

You can see my poor old garden is a mess! I hope to get a helper or two to help me cut it back this week. It's time to put it to bed for the year.

This was my view on Friday. I've zoomed in a lot, but the colors are just so beautiful. I was sitting on the deck painting kitchen cabinet knobs. I'm reusing what I already have, for now anyway.

Our drive to church yesterday was stunning. It is peak color here in our area of Pennsylvania. I love New England but the beauty in our own area is amazing!

The kitchen cabinets are being installed as we speak! I'm beyond thrilled. I can't wait to show you.

I hope you're all doing well. I'm praying peace for our world, and joy for you all personally.

My maple tree this morning. So beautiful. I look at it all day through my living room window.

I'm feeling good about our new Speaker of the House.

Let's see how things go, but I do believe that this shows that the maga republicans, with Trump as leader of the party, are now in control of the republican party. A small group managed to get never trumper rinos, and wishy washy rinos out of the speakers office.

Well done!

Also from Mike Flynn -

Hard to keep up with everything in the news.

The addition is moving quickly these days. The kitchen cabinets come on Monday, the counter tops on Wednesday. Trim will be going up, the flooring will go in and we'll be close to the finish line!

Weekend

Autumn is putting on a show here, even though I think our color overall was better last year. There is still so much beauty.

On Friday, I took Klaire to tea for her birthday, which was the week before. She loved it all. The pretty table, how big the dining room was, the gift shop.

She brought her friend Blueberry along, and they were both very well behaved.

Tim, Wes, and Kyle painted this weekend, and the primer is done and the ceilings are all done with paint! Next up, wall color!

The flooring should be in this week, and will likely be installed next week. Then I'd say we are waiting for the kitchen cabinets! So exciting to be so close to being finished!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Information Friday

I've been purposeful over the years to make our home a haven, a place of peace in the midst of a world that is not peaceful. I took this photo the other day because it was beautiful to me. There's a basket with toys behind furniture and one with school materials. We have charging cords on the floor, but those things don't matter. What matters is the peaceful haven that awaits my family when they come home or come for a visit. In these hard, scary, and painfilled times, I encourage you to make your home a place of peace. Guard it vigilantly. We keep up with current events and news, but we know when enough is enough. It's a balance. These times require wisdom, don't they? I'm praying for discernment, too.

This post speaks particularly to Sydney Powell but its the corruption by the DA that is the problem.

The industrial war complex is the one being enriched by our giving to other nations.

$100 Billion. It's not like we have that money in an account. We have to borrow it from the FED and pay it back with interest. This will be on our great grandchildren. Enough taxing the citizens to pay for their endless wars.

The French are beginning to realize this is unsustainable for a nation. It may be too late for France. I hope all nations wake up.

There is a lot going on in the world. We must pray, and then we keep going with our lives. Here at our home we have painting going on in the addition. We are so close to the finish line. I'm so thankful for the skilled workers who have done such a fantastic job and for Tim who has been the contact person and who is right now out in the addition priming brand new sheet rock.

Mom, dad and I went and bought 46 gallons of paint and primer the other day! I'm also helping my mom shop FB marketplace! Lots happening but it is good things.

I'm grateful.

Have a good weekend friends.

Isaiah 41:10 -

Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

A Spur Of The Moment Drive

I've been seeing a Doctor of Naturopathy and she's been helping me with my tight muscles. She is located very near to Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, so I decided to take a drive through the Area and see what I could see.

The trees are turning but not nearly at peak. The lake, as you can see in this photo is low.

It's interesting driving around when there are few people there. It's very quiet.

I'm finding that I need to seek out beauty, to rejoice in what God has created, and to be thankful for it in the midst of a heartbreaking world.
