Autumn

One more day until the official start of autumn.  I really love this season.  The cooler temperatures are my favorites, and I love to be outside during this season.

We went to the local produce stand, less than a minute away, to get our pumpkins and some mums yesterday.  We also got apples.  Next week their apple cider will be available.  It's the best, and we drink gobs of it! (well, not me anymore because of all the natural sugar from the fruit in it but I do have a little bit here and there for a treat!)

Since we painted our deck chairs I didn't want to go with a bright tablecloth for the folding table on the deck.

I found this one at Christmas Tree Shops for $2.99.  I think the dark chocolatey brown looks great with the chairs.

These mums are really more of an orangey gold than this coral color.  You can see a bit of the true color on some of the flowers.

I love the deep colors of autumn.  I have been following a few blogging fall home tours and I feel like they are mostly the same.  Very neutral, white pumpkins, white walls, maybe some color in a throw pillow or blanket.  While very pretty, I think I would miss the color of the season!

Tonight we are going to a Hobbit Day party.  Don't know what that is?  Why, it's Bilbo and Frodo Baggins birthday!  They share the same birthday September 22nd.  It's going to be great fun.  I'll take some photos to show you tomorrow.

That's a great tablecloth...love the bright colors of autumm. Yes, I know the bland, washed out, bleached look is in just now, but how dull it is to me. Autumn is all about color...vivid, glorious color.
