You Are Welcome Here

We love for our home to be a place that people feel welcome.  We want our guests to know that we are happy they are here.

Its written on signs by the entries to our cottage even!

This is on the kitchen door!

I feel the same about this blog with the same name as our home.

You are welcome here.  I hope you feel that and that you leave encouraged, and like you found a friend.

Blogland has seemed very quiet recently.  Even commenting seems down. I'm thankful that you take the time to visit here in the midst of your busy lives.  It's appreciated.  I have found some of my dearest friends online, and it all began with one comment!

How about you?  Have you made good friends with other bloggers and commenters?  How many of you have met in real life?/

What a precious post....and I DO feel welcomed and encouraged when I visit Creekside Cottage :)

I've noticed the same thing about Blogland lately. I've met 4 bloggers in "real life" I believe. I continue to post on several blogs primarily as a creative outlet--sort of a quick way to "scrapbook". And I find inspiration and pleasure in on-going and friendships with fellow bloggers.

Blogging seems to have ebbs and flows and it seems more ebbs lately, but it's almost ok with me as I've been having trouble keeping up with those I want to visit. This post is very welcoming. I like your sign by the door!

Yes, Deanna, you make everyone fell very welcome! I haven't been visiting you as long as many of the others but thoroughly enjoy it when I do! I have made so many wonderful friends since I started blogging and no one could have convinced me that this would happen when I reluctantly hit that publish button for the first time! I may have an opportunity to meet a blogging sister this week. Some circumstances have changed and we may have to reschedule...but you can bet if we do meet, a post will be coming soon to tell everyone all about it!

I would LOVE to stop by in real life some day. I feel so welcome, just through your blogging, even without having ever met. :-)
