Vee's Note Card Party - Peonies

Hurray!  It's Note Card Party time again!  I think it is so fun, and look forward to it every month.

A Haven for Vee

Since many of us are dreaming of Spring time weather to go along with the calendar date, I thought I would post edited photos of my peonies.  These photos are from back in 2008 - 2010, and taken indoors during the day, indoors in the evening, outdoors with an old camera...you get the idea.  But I know you all will be merciful to me, and say lovely things as you always do!  That's why this is my favorite blog party!

These peonies all grow in my garden and these deep pink ones smell like old fashioned roses.  They are a joy to me every May when they bloom, and I hope you enjoy them too!

Your peonies are amazing!! I know this from personal experience. That rose scented one especially.

I always look forward to the peonies and their intoxicating scent. I've planted even more the last couple of years for cutting to bring indoors.
The light pink one you have is beautiful, perhaps Sarah Bernhardt?

Each photo is a delight. I was going to say that the one that matches your tea cup and saucer is my favorite, but then I saw the last photo. Now I'm conflicted. Ha! May is surely coming. I think my peonies bloom in early June.

Just beautiful!
I long for peonies but I can't grow them where I live. Our Winter is not cold enough which is what peonies need.
I for one would just love to receive that first card and then I would frame it!!

Love your peonies, can't wait to see the real thing SOON maybe with snow still on the ground. My tulips are poking through it.

I just love these. I remember when we were little girls and brought the Peonies to church for the May crowning.

Oh, I love peonies! Yours are so pretty. They are the frilliest flowers, so feminine with their ruffles.

They are gorgeous, inside, outside, and with an old camera. I think the peony is one of the most incredible of God's creations. It's like He put a flower inside another flower. Somewhere, there is probably a message in that. On top of that, they are my mother's very favorite flower. She had them at her wedding. We can't grow them here. She has tried, though.

Your peonies are soooo pretty! I just love them. I've tried to grow them before and just haven't had any luck with them.

Information Friday

We had a wonderful wedding weekend in Missouri! We drove, leaving Friday morning and came back on Monday! It was long, but it was worth it...
