Information Friday

I woke yesterday to news that the Queen's doctors were 'concerned' and that they felt she should be under medical supervision. What concerned me was that the family was gathering at Balmoral. This was serious.

I watched coverage most of the day, even talking to the kids about her. We watched a video of part of her coronation.

Her death was announced at around 6:30pm UK time, though she died around 4:30pm. William, Andrew, Edward and Sophie arrived at Balmoral at 4:00pm.

The new Prime Minister said that Queen Elizabeth was the rock on which modern Britain was built. That is very true.

In the days to come there will be more information, and lots of Pageantry honoring the loss of Elizabeth II. King Charles III will be sworn in tomorrow as king in London, and in the next week will visit each of the countries that make up the United Kingdom. The Queen will lie in state at the Palace of Holyrood House, then in St. Giles. Then her body will be taken from Scotland to London and she will lie in state there until her funeral on Monday, the 19th.

I'm so glad that the family were with her as she passed into eternity.

I have this book and I think that the Queen was a genuine believer.

If you want to keep up with the latest Sky News Live on YT are running 24 hour coverage.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Here is some other news.

We have unexpected guests who arrived this evening and we are absolutely delighted. Our Florida friends were to visit friends this week before heading back to Florida after a summer in New Hampshire. When they arrived one of the friends was very sick, that had come on quickly. She has been diagnosed with pneumonia, and was obviously in no condition to host.
Being about three hours away they called. When she started to explain, I said, "Come!" After finding out that we had no plans and they wouldn't be interrupting anything, they headed our way.

It's a gift to get time with our friends.

I’ll leave you with this quote from the Queen.

“I know just how much I rely on my faith to guide me through the good times and the bad. Each day is a new beginning. I know that the only way to live my life is to try to do what is right, to take the long view, to give of my best in all that the day brings, and to put my trust in God!"

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Isn't this the queen that knighted a pedophile & rapist. Her son was besties with Epstein. She had Epstein at her cabin in Balmoral. Before being queen she was initiated as welsh bard in a druid ceremony????????

So much went on last week and there are conflicting opinions between those who admire the Queen and those who felt much differently. I am in the admirers camp. I agree with you—I think that she was a genuine Christian who loved The Lord.

Quite interesting, though not at all surprising, to find the current office holder as the one behind the raid on Mar-a-Lago. And all those lies he told to deny it.

Who knows where another week will take us?

Happy Christmas Adam!

We had a lovely Christmas service yesterday at church. Then we took the girls home, we came home and I made Monte Christo sandwiches for l...
