Teatime Tuesday

Today I am drinking "Black Pearl" and having Banana Nut bread with mini chocolate chips, that my daughters Emily and Rachel made.  It's a delightful breakfast.

I am using this sweet teapot by Royal Vale, an English Rose luncheon plate, my sweet Old Country Roses Chintz teacup and a creamer that came with a luncheon set that belonged to my late Grandmother.  I used to always play with the luncheon set when I would visit her as a little girl.

I love the Old Country Roses variations, the chintz being a particular favorite.

Here is the sweet creamer - it has no markings so I am not sure of the manufacturer.  I love to have tea in the quiet morning, taking time to gather my thoughts before I begin my day. When is your favorite time for tea?

I'm joining Lady Katherine and Sandi @ Rose Chintz Cottage for Teatime Tuesday.  I am loving getting to know you all and sharing tea with you!  Thanks for dropping by!

Can I come? So inviting! Lucky you to still have girls at home to bake! I'd like a breakfast like that everyday!

One of my favorite breakfasts, ever, and especially when the bread is made by loving little hands.

Charming setting, as well.

So charming here...sorry that I missed morning tea. My favorite time for tea is about three in the afternoon when I begin to sink. That's when I want a bracing cup of Earl Grey. In the evening, I sometimes enjoy some calming chamomile about an hour before bedtime.

I would love to begin my days with a quiet cup of tea, but this practically never happens.

Usually I enjoy a quiet cup of tea and a good book in the evenings, but I have not yet become much of a tea drinker in the hot summer months.

Hi Deanna,
How lovely to have your girls bake for you! I had all boys so I had to do all the cooking and baking in our home. I just love your chintz teacup and the other china is lovely too. A wonderful tea time. Thank you for sharing this with Tea Time Tuesday and have a delightful week.

Blessings,
Sandi

Well, I know that creamer - it's the Moss Rose pattern and I have a slew of it from my grandmother, mother and aunt. They all collected the pieces back in the '40's and '50's - and grandma even further back. There are many variations of it and makers - some better quality than others. I shall have to feature my varieties in an upcoming post.
Joy!
Miss Kathy

I very rarely drink tea in the summer, but I'd gladly sit at your table and have a cup. And some of that delicious bread, of course!

Information Friday

We had a wonderful wedding weekend in Missouri! We drove, leaving Friday morning and came back on Monday! It was long, but it was worth it...
