Helping Our Children Find Who They Are

I am a firm believer that God sends us our children, not as empty vessels for us to fill up, but as complete people with all the gifts and abilities that He wants them to have, so they can do what He has for them to do! (whew, that was a long sentence!)

Today, Anna at Pleasant View Schoolhouse, has written the best post on this very thing. And she says it in a much clearer way! You can read her post here.

I went and read it, great points! As she talks about her kids learning what they wanted to do at such a young age, so did I. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was three and my parents never forced that upon me, they took that interest and plugged me into things like teaching sunday school or VBS. This is a great post because I do believe that God gives children to parents with the gifts, and parents help them to find their gifts and talents. I also love how she said to have lots of unstructured time. Its nice to have lessons or practice one in a while but its really nice to just have fun on your own!! Great post auntie dee!
