Our Trip To California, Part Two - The Wedding!

Here's the cute couple at the rehearsal dinner!  So grateful God brought them together.

The wedding morning found the girls and I at the wedding venue.  We set 15 tables for 110 people, including the sweetheart table.

All the signs had eucalyptus and roses on them.

White tablecloth, big burlap square, wood center piece holder, white plates, fork and knife, water glass, champagne flute.  The napkins were navy blue.  Very simple and elegant.

The floral centerpieces had white hydrangea, roses, and white peonies and eucalyptus.  So romantic and beautiful!

The brides gown was very soft and flowing.  It was gorgeous and suited her very well.

This was a fun moment when the pastor had Evan take a selfie of the bridal party!  It was a nod to them taking photos of themselves at important events or outings!

Here is what it looked like from their perspective!

They also had a time of prayer.  One of the bridesmaids, and one groomsman (the brother of the groom) prayed out loud for them!

This is my brother's family along with the grandparents.  My sister in laws mother is next to her and my parents are on the right, at the end.

Sweet photo with the grandparents on Evan's side.  We've known Evan's other grandma since I was 6 years old!

 Emma, Vinnie, and Isla.

All of us girls at the photo booth!

Here is my sweet niece in law (oldest nephews wife)!  You might remember she and her boys visited last summer!  Rachel is also in the background.  We were all watching the bride and groom have their first dance.

They even had their own Snapchat filter!

Alicia and I.  I claim her as one of my girls!

Here is a view of the whole reception area.

They had a small cake to cut then everyone had the choice of cake or Krispy Kreme donuts!  Yum!

We sent them off with sparklers lining their path!

We were so grateful to be able to be at this wedding, and celebrate with them!

A lovely occasion! The weather in UK wouldn't allow us to be certain of planning an outdoors wedding, sadly.

👰🏻 Weddings are such happy, blessed, celebratory occasions...Narnia magical as a friend of ours would say. It is wonderful that you and the girls were able to attend. I know that your presence made it even more special for the newlyweds. All the best to them! 🎩

It was lovely and hot that day, but the breeze blew and the reception was in the shade!

It is always tricky here too, regarding weather for an outdoor wedding. This area of California doesn't get much rain during the summer, so I guess they felt safe to do it!

I was so worried that we'd just be dripping with sweat at the wedding, but a breeze was blowing and the reception was under the trees. With such dry heat, it was pleasant the whole day!

For the mother/son dance my sister in law chose "One Less Bell To Answer" by Marilyn McCoo. It was funny and sweet!
