Pumpkins

I staged my own protest against this crazy heat and humidity by putting out my ceramic pumpkins.

If you love to read, you'll want to get this book by Sarah Clarkson.  Its about how reading helps us, changes us, gives us courage, inspires us.   It also has book lists to read for different times in our lives.  It's a Book Girls' dream book.  Like a book club in a book!

I've been collecting them for several years and now when I see a unique one, I'll buy it.  (I've only spent between $1.00 - $5.99 on these pumpkins)  I have more and I'm sure they'll turn up over this autumn in my photos.

We're getting a break in the weather starting this weekend, so I'm sure my protest is working! (grin).

Have you started to put anything out for autumn yet?

I've put a few pumpkins on the veranda steps and one on the back deck and my bags of garland leaves to hang over the railings are sitting in the nook but haven't been hung up yet. As much as I love Summer, Fall is my favorite and I love to decorate! The book sounds intriguing. I may check it out! Chy

I love your pumpkins! I haven't gotten much fall decorating done yet but I too am ready for a break in the heat and humidity we've been having.

I bought a blue pumpkin on sale today. I can't believe it, but I love the shade of blue and the worn look of it!

Love your pumpkins ! I, too, am longing for a break in the heat and the humidity. Whew, it's been a hot summer! So far, I have put away my starfish and shells, I have put out an apple-scented candle, and bought an apple kitchen towel from Target. I've been too busy to do more, but it will happen soon!

(My new laptop came today! I am back in business!!)
