Happy New Year!

We had a quiet New Year's Eve. The four of us ate homemade cheeseburgers and fries and watched the last Christmas episode of Downtown Abbey, then we did our own thing for a while and then watched the live action Mulan.

Pretty exciting stuff! LOL.

It suited us, as several of us have colds/sinus issues and an evening with good food, hanging out together, and watching a few movies was good.

I'm praying that 2021 will be a good year and that people will continue to awaken to the state of the world.  I, personally, have never been more aware of the needs of people and the pain caused by the enemy of our souls, as I am these days.

One thing I know for sure is that if God will never leave us, nor forsake us. He always prepares us for what he has prepared for us. We can trust him and look to him for strength and goodness.

Happy New Year friends!

  2. Our New Years' Eve was far less exciting. We did have a yummy supper of homemade stuffed peppers and a good salad, with a few Christmas cookies for dessert.

Great thought: "He always prepares us for what He has prepared for us." A wonderful thought to take into 2021. We lost a dear young friend to suicide in the waning days of 2020. Even though it was, and is still, painful, we can see how God had prepared us for that years previously when an even younger friend was killed by a drunk driver. We know that even in difficulty and sorrow God always has a good purpose for all that He allows to touch our lives. We may not see it in this life, but it is true nonetheless.

Thanks for your faithfulness in sharing God's Word and a true perspective during this crazy year. Like you, I'm praying for our country faithfully and looking forward to seeing what God will do.

  5. Perhaps you should talk to your doctor, about the colds and etc........

Our New Year's Eve was quiet too, with treats, which we seldom fix or eat. -smile-

Happy New Year's Wishes to you, too.

  6. We had a quiet New Year’s Eve and then traveled on New Year’s Day. We are not party animals and I must have my beauty sleepπŸ˜‚I pray that the year ahead is a good one, that the virus “takes a hike” never to return and that all are in good health and a clear mind. Big hugs coming your way.
