Holiday Weekend

We had a great holiday weekend, did you?  Our friends are here still, and since they live in a hurricane affected area and will have to travel through where the hurricane is going to hit hardest (as of now since Dorian is a mystery), they've decided that they will stay through next weekend.

The whole weekend was gorgeous, even our thunderstorms yesterday, but we had full sunshine on Saturday when we went to Havre de Grace, Maryland.

What a charming town.  Right on the Chesapeake Bay, there was a battle here in the war of 1812.

Local friends visit Havre de Grace several times a year (its close enough just to go for half a day) and recommended a place to eat.  It was delicious and all of us enjoyed watching the boats come into the marina to fuel up.  Gorgeous boats.

Rachel's friend, and now ours, Luisa has headed up to school this morning.  We loved having her with us.  She cooked Lomo Saltado for us last night. It was delicious!

We're thankful for time with friends who are like family.

Praying for all who are in the path of Dorian.

We enjoyed our holiday weekend too! No travels, but lots of family time and birthday celebrating! (And now we're on a birthday hiatus until October!)

It is good that your friends can stay a bit longer. No need to drive into a storm! I'm sure you'll enjoy these extended moments!

Happy Christmas Adam!
