Garden In Mid June

These lovely flowers are all blooming in my garden right now. These are older photos of these flowers but the flowers in my garden are in the stages that these photos show.  Hollyhock Nigra.

An ever blooming hydrangea I planted last year. This is supposed to be blue but the flowers I'm seeing are pinkish purple so I am going to amend the soil around this plant and see if I can get them to be blue!

These daylilies are in the back of the house right next to the stairway to our deck. They are lovely and cheery. I bought this plant a dozen years ago at an Amish store for a dollar. I have gotten a lot of joy from it for that dollar!

Today, my friend Jane and I are going to tea at my favorite tea shop. We are both looking forward to it. Tonight our guys are taking us to dinner, and then they leave in the morning.

It's been fun to be with them again. Long time friends who really are family. We've known them for 32 years.

I hope you are having a good week. How are you gardens looking?

  1. The yellow day lilies are a whole lot of cheer for $1! How wonderful that you can spend time with your long-time friends. We also have "friends who are really family." A rich blessing from the Lord!

  2. My peonies are going~going~nearly gone. However, the roses are coming on strong.

Sounds as if you had a lovely day planned. Maybe we'll see the proof tomorrow. 🫖☕️🍰
